Pretty Little Bow Tattoo

Hey people,

Today, a little update on how things went at the tattoo studio. Yep, I got a small and pretty bow tattoo. After years of reflection, I finally took the plunge. It would have been impossible without the Bestie and the BF, holding my hand :-) Thanks guys!

Doing the tattoo was actually REALLY painful (and that's nothing) but Jan from 32 Tattoo was (thank God) really tactful. That's his website btw: jb-marks.com/
Doing the outline was Ok, as well as the shades. I suffured when it came to color in the tattoo. It felt like someone was ripping my skin up, seriously. After one hour and a half, the thing was finally over.

And that's the result:  :-) Yippppiiiii

I am ready for the summer :-))

Weekend Far Far Away

Hey there,

Sorry, I was not able to publish anything last week; I was getting ready for my trip to Luxembourg. Sounds crazy but it's the best place I’ve been lately. I had a blast with my friends and family, spending romantic time with my boyfriend, fun moments with my niece and gastronomic interludes with my mom. Oh, short update for those of you who don’t know it: I’m from Luxembourg. I went back to the country with my mommy and my boyfriend, Simon, to meet some good old friends and my half brother’s family.

Jey and Boyfriend.

I bought this new Vanessa Bruno bag. Was perfect for the trip!

The fam’. Cute 3 year old Lena is not on the pic cause she hates to pose.

There she is <3

Luxembourg is famous for its restaurants. I had the chance to visit and discover two fabulous places: L’Eau à la Bouche (French gastronomy) and Palais de Chine (Chinese food). Obsessed with lobster!

On Saturday evening, we discovered THE place to partttayyyyyyy, Clausen. It’s an industrial street full of cool bars and clubs. The place remind me of the Power and Light district in Kansas City. Yay!

Updates concerning my new bow T.A.T.T.O.O. coming soon...

A 'bit of happiness

Hello you guys!

Today I’m gonna talk about happiness. I thought about this subject because of that newsletter the agency I work for published last month. We’re all seeking happiness. For some of us it’s easy, while for others it’s almost impossible! I would call myself a pessimistic. However I try to brighten my days thanks to little things in order to enjoy a bit more the-least-enjoyable moments, as I like to call them. Waking up in the morning. Leaving your beloved. Working. Going somewhere you don’t like. Studying. Long-list!

It’s really easy to cheer you up.
1.    Think about what makes you happy/what would make you happy! Coffee? A little treat? Cute clothes? Being organized? Behaving like someone you like?
2.    Do it! Do what you like! Create a little ritual for everyday!
3.    Be happy!

Here’s a list of what make me happy. I wouldn’t give it up for anything in the world :-)

Hugs! Have a great day!

Note it!

Hi :-)

Today, an article about how to organize yourself (at least some parts of your life). I really enjoy being organized. You know, being on time, knowing where stuffs are, etc. People often ask me how I do it, so here’s what works for me.

I usually write down everything on Post-It. They’re cute, sticky, colorful AND useful as hell.  You can even use them to express your creativity as a post it artist

My Moleskine agenda is my everything. I use it to write down my appointments, do brainstorming, find inspiration and collect things I like.

There are blogs that provide printable sheets with different section to help you structure your day and tasks. I use one per day!

Some cool ideas I found on Pinterest.

OK, so you’re gonna tell me that, that’s not a whole lot of things to do. Actually it is. All these little things help me relax and enjoy my day. The fact to write down everything gives me a chance to assess my day and (sometimes) be proud of myself. And between you and me, it’s a good excuse to buy cool stationery items. Like like like!

Keep calm, be happy and write everything down ;-)

Happy Ads

Working in an ad agency, I would say that I am a kind of ad-junky (yep). In other words, I love everything that's related to advertising, products, branding and packaging. Ads and commercials inspire me and highly influence my purchase behavior. A good ad will literally make me want to buy anything. I also think that commercials are reflecting society and who we are as a woman, a man, a citizen, a human, a wife, a kid, etc.

If you think that ads are disturbing and only good for the trash, you will probably agree with me on one point: some good ads are at least distracting. Here are four of my favorite ads: the basic, the influencing, the cute and the everything.

Enjoy and lemme know what you think!

The basic: no matter what happens, the ad will stay in our mind for better or for worse! Cult!

Old Spice (USA) - shower gel

The inspiring: up-to-date, esthetic, well put-together, innovative and straight to the point.

Citroën DS4 (France) - car

The cute: tags at our heartstrings.

Oreo (UK) - cookies

The everything: well, everything. Funny. Pretty. Easy.

CCA (Brazil) - English courses

Love Work!

Hey people! Today's article is about office spaces. We spend most of our time working. When it's not at the office, it's at home. It's therefore important that you arrange your workspace the way you like it. Here are some ideas, moods and atmospheres I personally like.

1)   Put flowers on your desk. Fake or fresh, they bring a nice touch of color and will brighten your day.

2)   Hang a pin board close to your desk to keep an eye on your next tasks. You can also pin things that inspire you or pictures of your beloved.

3)   Dispose frames with pictures of your friends and family all around you to feel more confortable and blow away this I-am-working-feeling.

4)   Use a notebook/agenda you like (you can also do scratch-booking) to organize yourself.

5)   Use a good light that will alleviate your eyes and will create a cute atmosphere.

Some more tips:

6)   Use office furniture that you like – colors, brands, smells (yep).

7)   Use decorated boxes (home- or Ikea-made) to store your lil’ mess.

Hope that all these tips will help you enjoy work. It works for me. I’ll post a picture of my office space as soon as I have a good pic. See ya!

The American Way

Hey ho guys! This week I’m here to talk about...food. Again? Yep. You know how much I like treats  Today’s subject will be about typical American fast food and restaurants.

I love American restaurants. The atmosphere is always very specific to the place and well kept. Go to Denny’s and you’ll feel like home. Go to Sonic and you’ll feel back in the sixties. Go to California Pizza Kitchen and you’ll feel so OC. Go to Outback and you’ll travel to Australia. Go to Red Lobster and you’ll feel like in Normandie.

Even nicer: the service. American people are friendly. To be honest, I don’t really care if they are sincere or not. I like to be taken care of and hear that little “Hi, how are you”. I’m doing great thanks

When I came back from the US in December, I decided to seek out the best American restaurants in Switzerland. I found four. The food is not perfect but still tasty and the atmosphere is nice. Perfect for a girls night out, a family dinner or an after-work party. Woop woop!

-Papa Joe’s in Bern
I would recommend the chicken burger, the fajitas, the combo special and the margaritas.

-Sam’s Pizza Land in Zürich
The Seattle American style pizza is the best.

-Buffalo Grill in Lausanne
Try the tapas mix, the Kentucky chicken, the cheesecake and the cotton candy sticks.

-Hooters in Interlaken
I recommend the Hooters combo, the Cesar salad with ranch sauce and the Blue Lagoon cocktail.

If you decide to try these out, there’s a very high probability that I’ll be there too. Come by and say hi!
