Two feet in the Midwest

Everybody goes to the United States for a specific reason: chase the American dream, catch the waves in the OC. I decided to go there because I love the country. My friends always told me that “you can’t love a place until you’ve been to its heart”.

There I am: Wichita, Kansas.

Wichita is located 2.5 hours south west from Kansas City. It’s a small city that has a lot to offer (to me at least). As I said in my previous article, the United States definitely has great skills in communication and advertising. Even in Wichita, everything is perfectly branded and makes you feel you belong.

I’m studying at Wichita State University and everything here fits together. Roads. Students. The baseball team. Cars. Carpets. Buildings. Everything. Being a member of that university and being a business student, I really appreciate that. Every time I walk around I feel proud being part of it. I feel committed and involved. In fact, I think that branding is the key to commitment. When something is branded it looks better, it's more appealing and it's just more fun.

What is it all about?

Hello everybody,

I’m a marketing student and I’m currently doing an exchange semester in Kansas, United States. Every day, I'm amazed about how communication activities are well coordinated in this country. I like it when things fit together and when brands communicate with one single voice.

This is why I decided to create this blog: I want to share with you what I visually like and convince you that, indirectly,  good communication and marketing makes you happy.

Drops in Flakes out is a reference to my supply chain class, referring  to the “First in First out”-process, and to my marketing class, referring to the transformation of something very simple into something beautiful (a drop becoming a snowflake).

Well I hope you’ll enjoy it.
